The middle school years are characterised by significant physical, emotional, social, and academic changes. We provide a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment to guide our pupils through this delicate transition.
From primary school, Northlands International’s curriculum is bilingual..
In the middle school, the ratio of lessons taught in English to those taught in Italian is 60:35, with the remaining 5% dedicated to a third chosen language of either French or Spanish. Maths, Italian language, grammar, anthology, epic literature, history, and design technology (DT) are taught in Italian; all other subjects are taught in English. We encourage exploration and experimentation, offering a rich and varied curriculum that stimulates curiosity and experiential learning.
Our goal is to create an environment that fosters meaningful relationships between peers and adults. In addition to the academic aspect, we pay special attention to the development of social and emotional skills, providing support and guidance to students as they face the challenges that this stage of their lives brings.
We recognise that every student is a unique individual with different needs and potential, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported in their learning and personal growth. Through a combination of innovative teaching, engaging extracurricular activities, and a constant focus on student well-being, we aim to prepare our students not only for academic success, but also for a life of commitment, integrity, and personal fulfilment.
Our school is committed to being a place where every student can grow not only as a student, but also as an aware, responsible and motivated individual, ready to face challenges and seize the opportunities that the future has to offer.
